Introduction
This guide provides detailed instructions on how to request and perform firmware upgrades for your SolaX Power devices, including inverters, EV chargers, and battery management systems (BMS). Keeping your device firmware up to date ensures optimal performance, access to the latest features, and improved security.
Process Description
Firmware upgrades are essential software updates installed on your device to enhance functionality, fix bugs, and improve overall system stability. SolaX Power offers remote firmware upgrade services to ensure your systems run the latest versions efficiently.
Prerequisites
- Ensure your device is connected to the SolaX Cloud with a stable internet connection.
 - Have your system's unique identifier and BMS serial number available, or your inverter/EV charger model, serial number, and registration number ready.
 - Prepare clear photos of your device labels if needed to verify serial numbers.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Identify Your Device and Gather Information
Locate your device’s system identifier and BMS serial number, or the model, serial number, and registration number if you are upgrading an inverter or EV charger. Use photos if necessary to confirm the information.
Step 2: Verify Cloud Connectivity
Confirm that your device is properly connected to the SolaX Cloud platform to enable remote firmware updates.
Step 3: Submit Your Firmware Upgrade Request
Send a request to SolaX Power Technical Support including your collected device identifiers and any relevant photos. Specify the type of device (inverter, EV charger, BMS) and current firmware version if known.
Step 4: Remote Firmware Upgrade Execution
Once your request is validated, the support team will remotely initiate the firmware upgrade process. Your device may restart during this process.
Step 5: Confirmation of Firmware Update
If your device already has the latest firmware version installed, no update will be applied. Otherwise, you will receive confirmation upon successful upgrade completion.
Tips and Best Practices
- Perform firmware upgrades during periods of low energy usage to minimize any system disruptions.
 - Maintain reliable internet and power supply connections throughout the upgrade process.
 - Keep a record of your current firmware version before requesting an upgrade for your reference.
